Aztec Sun Stone Silver Bar Design
The Aztec sun stone, also known as the Aztec calendar stone, is one of the most famous works of art from the Aztec people. It was carved in the 1500s, and discovered in the late 1700s. The design itself was meant to measure time with a sophisticated and interconnected calendar system that adhered to the celestial bodies, which provided a list of religious festivals and sacred dates.

I liked the design of the bar at first glance. While the bar's design is very nice, My bar unfortunately have to have some silver shaved off for weight reasons I assume, and that was done on each of the four corners on the calendar side (very obvious.) The figure head on the reverse side is in excellent condition, including the corners. Lastly, the direct fitting coin case is actually wider than the bar itself, but the capsule fit snuggly against the bar, so movement is minimized somewhat. It will stay in My collection.
