    The Peace Dollar
The Peace dollar is a United States dollar coin that was produced for circulation from 1921 to 1928 and again from 1934 to 1935, as well as starting in 2021. The design of the coin was the result of a competition sponsored by Anthony de Francisci to choose designs emblematic of peace. The obverse depicts the head and neck of the Goddess of Liberty in profile, while the reverse features a bald eagle resting with an olive branch and the legend "Peace." It was the last Silver dollar to be made for general circulation in the United States.
