Gold Mexican coins are some of the most beautiful in the world. First issued in 1921 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Mexico’s independence from Spain.

The obverse of the Gold Mexican coins features the Winged Victory design in the forefront, and the two famous volcanoes—Popocatepetl and Iztaccihautl—in the background. The reverse depicts the Mexican Coat of Arms symbol of an eagle perched on a cactus clutching a serpent in its beak.
